Sadly I didn’t get to stay here but I did get to enjoy dinner at Capella’s Phra Nakhon restaurant. It was definitely experience you won’t want to miss.

We sat outside along the river and were treated to a mouth watering meal of traditional Thai dishes where the ingredients are sourced from local farmers and fisherman.

Wat Arun

Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is one of the most famous temples in Thailand.

Most people will recognize the famous pagoda which can be seen from a distance at many vantage points throughout Bangkok.

But let me tell you that seeing it up close is something else. Wat Arun has some of the most incredible architecture I’ve seen. It’s covered with over a million ceramic porcedishes and seashells and is incredibly ornate and detailed

You can even climb up about halfway where you’ll be rewarded with incredible views od the temple grounds as well as the Chao Praya River!

Pak Khlong Talad Flower & Night market

Bangkok is home to some incredible flower and night markets, a lot of which are actually open 24 hours

Pak Khlong Talad is the largest of the flower markets and the best time to visit is actually in the evening when the vendors receive their flower deliveries and the shops are full of every flora you could ever imagine in some of the brightest and most vibrant colors.

It’s really something to see the endless rows of florals and the flowers are sold at a staggeringly great value.

ICONSIAM

ICONSIAM is one of the largest shopping compexes in Asia and is also one of the tallest buildings in Bangkok.

One of the biggest attractions is the floating market which resides on the main level which is decked out with food vendors, crafts, and a “river” that runs through the center with boat displays that re-create the traditonal floating markets of the past.

It’s a great way to have  this traditional market experience in a modern way.

There are 10 floors total here though and the remaining floors house some incredible shopping. Everything from local to international brands, luxury shopping, and the only Apple store in Thailand which takes up an entire floor and was voted the 4th most beautiful Apple store in the world
