St. Regis Toronto – Canadian Debut
After just opening on Nov 28, 2018 I was excited to be one of the first guests to stay at Canada’s very first St. Regis location. Call me biased, but I happen to think that they chose wisely for their Canadian debut.
Caroline Astor Suite
I was lucky enough to be invited to stay at their Caroline Astor Suite for the weekend. As one of two penthouse suites located on the top level of the hotel it is just slightly under 1700 square feet and is dripping with design touches that are not only opulent but also pay homage to Canadian landscape.

Stepping into the suite I couldn’t believe my eyes! The Caroline Astor Suite had:
- Two Bedrooms
- Two Bathrooms
- Powder Room
- Full Sized Kitchen
- Dining/Meeting room area
- Office Area
- 360 city views
- Signature Butler service which includes luggage packing and shoe polishing
I have never felt more like an urban princess than I did staying inside this suite with views of Toronto’s tallest and most prominent skyscrapers.

Ok, so as much as I could have easily spent the all day in such a beautiful space one of the things that makes a hotel is it’s location. Because let’s face it, no matter how beautiful a hotel might be there’s absolutely not point if it is inconveniently located. Luckily, the St. Regis Toronto is nestled right in the heart of Toronto’s financial district and is centrally located to be within minutes of anything and everything that you would want to see and do in the city. Eaton Centre and the trendy Queen West with it’s boutique shops and restaurants is just a short 5-10 minute walk away. TIFF Lightbox, Ripley’s Aquarium, CN Tower, Roger’s Centre, Scotiabank Arena, St. Lawrence Market, The Distillery District, and Toronto theatre district are all just a 15-20 minute walk away.

At the end of long day of city exploration my favourite part was coming back to the master bathroom which was my favourite part of the suite. With marble finishes everywhere and a deep soaker tub by the window overlooking the city it was the perfect way to unwind.

Keeping Well Fed
Louix Louis Restaurant

Located on the 31st floor of the hotel Louix Louis restaurant evokes modern glamour with a touch vintage splendour. With a strong focus on cocktails the entire space is inspired by a whisky glass. The feature wall is lined with whisky bottles and a ceiling mural commissioned by Toronto artist Madison van Rijn is made to resemble the swirls of a whisky cocktail.

Like the rest of the hotel the menu at Louix Louis is decadent and expertly executed. Start with a half dozen of the freshest oysters and some perfectly grilled octopus or sea scallops. Then try out the 7 hour roasted truffle chicken served two ways, fried & roasted, and topped with a truffle jus. Finish off with the King’s Cake which features 13 layers of 64% Guayaquil ganache, topped with gold flakes, and then served with a side of vanilla ice cream. You’re welcome.
Private Dining

Is there anything better than room service when you’re away? I loved that that the St. Regis served up all the comfort classics and featured goodies from talented local Toronto purveyors like Pilot Coffee and Sloane Tea. Best enjoyed of course while wearing the luxurious Italian-made Frette robe provided.
