Montreal’s Chicest New Terrace Patio
Sofitel Golden Mile Montreal – La Terrace at Le Renoir Restaurant

Newest, Chicest, Patio Terrace in Montreal
Summer just got a little hotter in Montreal thanks to Sofitel Golden Mile Montreal’s newest patio La Terrace at Le Renoir Restaurant. Or better known as Montreal’s chicest, newest, patio terrace.
With white & yellow striped umbrellas and a greenery covered pergola, it gives all the vibes of a European coastal town. Plus the stylish neon sign that reads “champagne s’il vous plaît” solidifies this as the ultimate joie de vivre destination.

Farm-to-Table – Stylish, Chic, and Local Terrace Patio Menu
Montreal’s chicest new terrace patio wouldn’t be the chicest new terrace patio if it didn’t have a menu to match. Since most of their ingredients are sourced from Montreal’s largest open-air market, Marché Jean-Talon, the menu has a fresh flavour that only local ingredients can bring.

Standouts on the menu included the beef tartare with green peas, oysters, mujol caviar, green onions, and confit egg yolk with soja and rice vinegar. Seafood is also very well made. Never over-cooked and perfectly tender. My favourites were the maple octopus and poke bowls.

Finally dessert. Most places treat sweets as an afterthought but not at La Terrace at Le Renoir. They have a dessert menu that will make you crave their sweets as much as the main course. The pavlova is texture heaven. Crisp on the outside and soft marshmallow like texture on the inside. The blueberry cheesecake is also creamy, without being overly sweet. And believe me when I say that they don’t skimp on the blueberries either.
They also have a great bar menu. With cocktails and mocktails it’s also the best spot to grab drinks. Mixed nuts, cheese boards, charcuterie, and fries make the perfect items to nibble on.
Needless to say this is the place you’ll want to be at all summer long. I know it’s where I want to be. La Terrace at Le Renoir is open until October until they close for the season. With seating for approximately 80, it is easily the patio terrace to lounge at well in to the summer and early fall months. Make sure to make a reservation. It’s sure to be booked solid well in advance.
