As temperatures drop it’s only natural that we all want to cozy up indoors. If you’re getting a little stir crazy though spending an entire season inside, then the Andaz Ottawa Byward Market Copper Bar on Ice on their famous rooftop patio is the solution.

Famous for having the best views in Ottawa, the Andaz Ottawa Byward Market has transformed their rooftop into a true winter escape for adults. The space has been dressed up with comfy seating, cozy blankets, plush pillows, fire pits, and heaters to keep you warm.

There’s a full-service bar chiseled completely of ice where J.P Wisers Canaian rye whisky cocktails are served alongside iced maple taffy, luge funnelling, and feature live DJs.

And if you really want to complete your getaway I suggest you stay right in the hotel itself. It’s my absolute favourite whenever I visit Ottawa and I’ve stayed there on almost every single visit now. Besides, there’s nothing like just taking a short elevator ride to your room after an evening at the ice bar.
